Under the leadership of its CEO, Martha Oliveira, Grupo Laços headed the Brazil-China Health Mission 2026, bringing a delegation of 15 Brazilian professionals to China Aid, Asia’s largest trade fair for longevity solutions. The strategic itinerary received institutional support and curation from the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (BCCHKC).

The mission followed a route through China’s main innovation hubs — including the cities of Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. The group conducted high-level technical visits to global technology giants such as Huawei and Tencent, as well as immersive experiences at the Beijing Royal Integrative Medicine Hospital and the China Association for Medical Devices Industry. The highlight of the journey was participation in China Aid, held from June 4 to 6 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

Martha Oliveira, CEO of Grupo Laços, highlighted the impact and level of development witnessed during the trip. “What caught our attention most was the maturity of the Chinese market for the so-called ‘longevity economy.’ We are not talking only about medical equipment or assistive devices. We are talking about a complete ecosystem designed to support people’s autonomy, safety, and quality of life as they age,” she emphasized.

To ensure the success of the governmental and corporate agendas, the Grupo Laços delegation was closely accompanied by Maristela Scenna-Romano, Executive Director of the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. The executive was responsible for articulating and organizing all institutional commitments throughout the program, strengthening ties between the health, technology, management, and innovation sectors of both nations.

“This mission reinforces the Chamber’s role as a strategic bridge for the internationalization of Brazilian companies in the Chinese market, especially in a sector as priority as longevity and health,” concluded the BCCHKC Executive Director, celebrating the success of the initiative led by Grupo Laços.
