Independence Day and Brazil-China Culture Year in Guangzhou
In celebration of Brazil's 204th Independence Day and the official launch of the Brazil-China Culture Year, the Consulate-General of Brazil in Guangzhou hosted a special reception on September 4. The event brought together members of the diplomatic corps, local authorities, business executives, and cultural figures from both nations.
The Chamber was represented on the occasion by its President James Kilpatrick and Executive Director Maristela Scenna-Romano underscoring the institution's commitment to bilateral integration and to advancing institutional and trade relations between Brazil and South China.
The celebration also highlighted the joint cultural initiatives planned throughout 2026, stemming from the strategic partnership between both countries to deepen mutual exchange and sustainable cooperation. The yearlong agenda encompasses projects in innovation, tourism, talent development, and youth exchange, alongside diverse artistic and cultural showcases.
