On March 3, 2026, the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong held its inaugural event — an Executive Fireside on the theme Brazil–China: Perspectives from Hong Kong. The morning opened with remarks by Chairman Patryck Pimpão Mehry, followed by a keynote by Ambassador Wladimir Valler Filho, Consul General of Brazil for Hong Kong and Macau, setting the tone for a substantive conversation on one of the world's most consequential bilateral relationships.

Before an audience of guests drawn from government, the diplomatic community and the corporate sector, Danilo Goulart, Chief Representative of Banco Bradesco for Asia-Pacific, sat down with Simon Wu, Director of InvestHK, to discuss the state of Brazil–China ties, the evolution of Chinese investment in Brazil beyond the traditional commodity corridor and the practical realities of cross-border financing, Brazil's landmark tax reform, and how business leaders can build partnerships resilient enough to outlast political cycles.
